"Nam Sibyllam quidem Cumis ego ipse oculis meis vidi

For Ezra Pound

Between 1994 and 2002 he created the Cremaster Cycle, a series of five feature-length films described by Jonathan Jones in The Guardian as "one of the most imaginative and brilliant achievements in the history of avant-garde cinema." Matthew Barney was born March 25, 1967, in San Francisco, California. He lived in Boise, Idaho from 1973 to 1985, where he attended primary and secondary school. Trevor Brown is an English artist from London presently living in Japan whose work explores paraphilias, such as pedophilia, BDSM, and other fetish themes. Innocence, violence and Japanese popular culture all collide in Brown's art.
Early features on Trevor Brown's art appeared in Adam Parfrey's Apocalypse Culture II, and in Jim Goad's ANSWER Me! zine. Since then his interviews and art have been featured in numerous publications worldwide, most recently on the cover of Gothic & Lolita Bible in Japan. His work also appears on a variety of book and record covers. He has illustrated for Coup de Grace an edition of Friedrich Nietzsche's Der Antichrist. Brown has also had several books of his art published.
Brown was involved in a copyright controversy with the electronic band Crystal Castles, who had begun using Brown's work in 2006 on merchandise without the artist's permission. A financial settlement was reached in 2008.

Bas me briga za publiku.

Death by Water

Phlebas the Phoenician, a fortnight dead,
Forgot the cry of gulls, and the deep sea swell
And the profit and loss.
A current under sea
Picked his bones in whispers. As he rose and fell
He passed the stages of his age and youth
Entering the whirlpool.
Gentile or Jew
O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you.

T. S. Eliot

Alice (Alice)

Kroz sanjivo vrijeme hodamo
Uvijenim stapom si mahnula
Pored ledenog jezera i smrznutog mjeseca
ubijenu siluetu vrane ugledah,
I suze na mom licu
i klizaljke po jezeru, pisu Alice

Nestajem u tvome imenu,
ali moras me cekati
Negdje preko mora lezi nasukani brod
tvoja kosa kao cvijetovi na talasu
I kisne kapi na prozoru
i kocka leda u casi

Jedina konci sto me drze tu
zamrseni su na pristanistu

I tako tajni poljubac
donosi slatko ludilo
I mislicu o tome
i mrtav u grobu
I kud me voda nosi, da budem izgubljen
I mora da sam lud,
da klizem tvoje ime,
po ko zna koji put
pa da propadnem kroz led
od Alice
Postoji samo Alice…

Tom Waits
